   "The City of Pure Water" is located at the western edge of the county and is so called on account of its supply of pure water from the famous Crystal Springs which are two miles north of the town. Fowler is the third town in the county, and the population at the present time is more than twelve hundred. It is surrounded by a splendid farming community. It has good stores and business houses and two live newspapers. Fowler is twenty-nine miles west of La Junta and thirty-five miles east of Pueblo.
