Timpas Cemetery

The Timpas Cemetery is a very quaint dry prairie cemetery near the town of Timpas. From La Junta, drive southwest on Highway 350 sixteen miles to the town of Timpas, then south on D Avenue one mile. The cemetery is on top of the hill on the left side of the road. According to locals no burial records were maintained for this cemetery. There are at least nine unknown burials marked with crosses or metal markers. This burial list was surveyed by De and Jay Bond in February 2002.
