Town in Crowley County on the Missouri Pacific Railroad fifty-six miles east of Pueblo, six miles east of Ordway. The big factory of the National Sugar Manufacturing Co. is located here. The town has electric lights, ice plant, a newspaper, two banks, and good business houses, good schools and churches. The census of 1910 showed a population of over 800. Local and long distance service over the lines of the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co. (formerly the Colorado Telephone Co.) J.M. Cravens, Postmaster.
