Postoffice on the Missouri Pacific Railroad forty miles east of Pueblo and eleven miles west of Ordway. There is a big general store here, grocery store, lumber yard, alfalfa mill, drug store, etc. A gravity system of water works will soon be installed here. The water will be from Crystal Springs, north of Fowler, which will give Olney the best water in the Arkansas Valley. There is a rural route delivered from here. Some of the best land in the Valley is tributary to this town. The apples, peaches, cherries and other fruits grown here cannot be excelled. Population approximately 300. Local and long distance telephone connection over the lines of the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co., (formerly the Colorado Telephone company). Opal Hanen, Postmaster.
